The World Oral Health Day has been marked in Nepal by organising various programmes. At an interaction programme in the federal capital on Saturday, the experts argued that 90 per cent of the total diseases could be prevented once the oral hygiene is maintained. The World Oral Health Day was marked under the theme of ‘Be Proud of Your Mouth’ this year. As a part of the awareness campaign, Om Samaj Dental Hospital in partnership with Dental Association conducted an awareness raising event and felicitated different personalities for their contribution. On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha called for public awareness on oral health and cautioned not to take lightly this issue.
